Introduction
Electrical installations are used in industries, shopping malls, office as well as domestic premises, etc. They are subject to compliance with the Electricity Act etc. relevant Regulations and Code of Practice, inter alia. It is vital that practitioners, operators, and owners of these installations to have the necessary knowledge of the laws and design principles of the installations, importance of various protections. So that appropriate preventive measures can be instituted at the design stage to avoid future unnecessary electrical accidents. The purpose of this course is to provide, strengthen and deepen them with the understanding of the protection settings.
Objective: These one day course includes the purpose of protection systems and its applications, how the settings are recommended for various equipment, and the components of protection systems
There will be breaks between sessions, allow Q and A, Continuous assessment in the form of random quizzes, activities to re-call and re-instate what have been taught in class will be carried out to enhance the learning process e.g., reflective practices and social learning etc.
