Introduction
Electrical installation applies to industries, shopping malls, offices, domestic premises, etc. They are subject to compliance with the Electricity Act, relevant Regulations, and Code of Practices, among other things. Practitioners, operators, and owners of these installations must have the necessary knowledge of the laws and design principles of the installations so that appropriate preventive measures can be instituted at the design stage to avoid future unnecessary electrical accidents. The purpose of this course is to provide the learners with an understanding of Singapore's electrical installation, basic electricity, electrical Safety, an overview of the electrical distribution network in Singapore, various types of equipment, and testing concepts. Upon completing this course, Learners can work more efficiently with better career knowledge.
Objective:
This one-day course covers a basic understanding of the Electricity Act & Regulations, regulatory requirements, the importance of the Code of Practices, basic principles of Singapore's electrical installation & its applications, and relevance. There will be a Continuous assessment in the form of random quizzes, group activities, and case studies to strengthen the understanding of what has been taught in class.

This course is suitable for all those with some basic knowledge who are electricians, electrical technicians, supervisors, etc., dealing with electrical installation, construction, operation, maintenance work, etc, especially those new to Singapore electricity network/installation.
The course is also suitable for those interested in knowing about Singapore's Electrical Installation, structure & owners of the electrical installation, Contractors, etc., to attend and understand the regulatory requirements, scope, functions, and principles.
Some of them do Electrical installation work but need to figure out why and how. This course provides a better understanding.
