Introduction
Knowledge of Electrical Safety at the workplace is essential for all the stakeholders Electricity Act, Regulations, codes of Practice and other procedures, awareness programs, and in-house training provide an understanding of the nature of electrical incidents and reduce/minimize the impact on the People, Property, and Live stocks.
In General, the above training practices are mainly associated with electrical-related jobs (e.g., Electricians, Electrical Technicians, Electrical Engineers, etc.). But, in reality, others working in the workplace also use electricity directly or indirectly. In this sense, we believe in Electrical Safety knowledge and awareness for all. So that we can minimize/prevent electrical incidents/accidents. Hence, we designed this curriculum to suit and provide a better understanding of Electrical Safety for all those in the workplace.
Objective
This four-hour/half-day course covers basic knowledge of applicable Laws, regulations, codes of practices, and safe approaches to handling electrical wires, Installation, equipment, etc., as Relevant examples through past incidents, and case studies, to strengthen the knowledge/awareness of Electrical Safety.
Who Should Attend
This course is suitable for all, who can read, write, and speak English. Regardless of the trade specialized in, workers in other trades/disciplines, supervisors, electricians, electrical technicians, engineers, technical executives, supervisors, etc., dealing with electrical installation, construction, operation, and maintenance work, handling or using electricity to operate equipment, etc.
The course is also suitable for the company management, safety practitioners, and owners of the electrical installations, Contractors, etc., to attend and understand basic electrical Safety and take appropriate action to enhance safety management of the facilities at the workplace.
What Participants Will Learn
This course is designed to apply electrical safety knowledge wherever & whenever using electricity and electrical installations under the current regulatory framework to enhance the installations’ capability and operation confidence level. Most importantly, at the end of this course, participants will gain confidence and acquire the necessary knowledge in practical applications of electrical Safety and the regulatory requirements imposed to perform better in their roles safely.
